The emergency key is a separate part of the request
Jeep owner information describes an emergency mechanical key within supported fobs. That blade can be relevant to door access even when the remote electronics need attention. Explain whether your remote is missing entirely, only its case is damaged, or the blade is absent. If a key warning appears, note its wording and whether another fob starts the vehicle. A lockout with a working key inside is a different service from making a replacement.
Wrangler, Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer are distinct requests
Give the full Jeep model name and year; Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer should not be shortened to the same request. For Renegade, Compass, Cherokee or Wrangler, also describe whether the vehicle uses an ignition key or push-button start. Button layouts and vehicle generations matter when identifying a remote. If an online listing claims broad Jeep compatibility, ask about the actual part before buying; the exterior case does not establish a match.

Every key is missing
Tell us whether you can enter the vehicle and whether a separate mechanical key remains. We check the replacement route, necessary parts and electronic registration for your Jeep before arranging the work.
You need a dependable spare
Keep the working original available. Describe which functions it operates, including starting, locking and any trunk, liftgate or remote-start buttons. A spare should be checked for the functions your vehicle actually has.
The remote has stopped responding
Describe the last time it worked, any battery change or water exposure, and the result with a second key. A battery or damaged case is different from a replacement remote that needs registration to the vehicle.
