  • Rio
  • Forte
  • K4
  • K5
  • Optima
  • Soul
  • Seltos
  • Sportage
  • Sorento
  • Telluride
  • Niro
  • Sedona

A physical key and a Smart Key need different information

Kia’s owner guidance distinguishes keys and Smart Key arrangements according to equipment. When calling about a Rio, Forte, K4, K5 or SUV, first describe whether the key turns in an ignition or stays in your pocket while you press a start button. A replacement blade, remote and electronic starting authorization are not interchangeable services. If the remote still works but the engine does not start, say so instead of assuming a replacement fob is needed.

Tell us what changed before the key stopped working

For Soul, Seltos, Sportage, Sorento, Telluride or Niro, note a recent battery change, a fall, water exposure or an intermittent response. For Sedona or Carnival, include any sliding-door buttons on the original remote. If all keys are lost, share the year and full model before ordering parts. We assess the specific configuration; we do not treat an older turn-key vehicle and a newer Smart Key vehicle as one identical system.

Lost key, spare key or fob programming?

Every key is missing

Tell us whether you can enter the vehicle and whether a separate mechanical key remains. We check the replacement route, necessary parts and electronic registration for your Kia before arranging the work.

You need a dependable spare

Keep the working original available. Describe which functions it operates, including starting, locking and any trunk, liftgate or remote-start buttons. A spare should be checked for the functions your vehicle actually has.

The remote has stopped responding

Describe the last time it worked, any battery change or water exposure, and the result with a second key. A battery or damaged case is different from a replacement remote that needs registration to the vehicle.

Arrange a mobile visit in Panama City Beach

Have your Kia model, year, exact parking location and a callback number ready. If you are at a condo, hotel or gated property, include the garage level and entry instructions. Calls and mobile service are available 24/7; we discuss current availability and a visit estimate based on your location and the job.

Have identification and proof of ownership or authorization available for the technician. Ask whether the quotation includes the key or fob, cutting, electronic programming and any service call. Price and completion time depend on the vehicle and whether a working key remains; a photograph cannot establish every electronic requirement.

A few helpful answers

Does every Kia use the same Smart Key?

No universal key should be assumed. Give the model and year and say whether the vehicle has a turn-key ignition or push-button start. The available parts and electronic requirements are checked for that setup.

What details matter for a Sedona or Carnival remote?

Describe the original buttons, including sliding doors and other equipped functions, plus the year and whether a working key remains. If the key still starts the vehicle but one remote function fails, mention that distinction.

Can you replace a Kia key if I have no working spare?

Call with your Kia model, year and location. We confirm the service route and parts for that key system before arranging work. Tell us whether the vehicle is accessible and have proof of ownership or authorization ready.

Can you come to Panama City as well as Panama City Beach?

Yes. We provide mobile service in Panama City Beach, Panama City and nearby communities within our service area. Share the exact address, vehicle location and access restrictions when you call so we can discuss availability.
